Waiver expires October 11, 2026

The hours of service wildfire waiver has been extended through FMCSA for another 30 days.

The 2026 application period is the only opportunity this year to apply for these grants.

In total, more than $7 million is available to help purchase new zero-emissions trucks and buses, replace or retrofit older, more polluting diesel engines, or develop medium- and heavy-duty zero-emissions vehicle charging and fueling infrastructure projects.

Action aligns Oregon with federal waiver and provides clarity for fuel suppliers

Upon request of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, the Oregon Environmental Quality Commission, DEQ's policy and rulemaking board, approved a temporary change to Oregon’s motor vehicle fuel standards.
